Shopping Day
29 November 2002, 2:25 PM

Traditionally, the day after Thanksgiving is the biggest shopping day of the year in the U.S. as it's the start of the Christmas season. Since my family didn't celebrate Christmas (we took part in gift-giving by moving that to New Years eve), we didn't ever take part in this massive consumer rush.

But this time I decided to brave the crowds and check out the sales. There's a few things I've put off purchasing, and now is a good time to find a bargain. I was surprised though. The crowds weren't nearly as big as I would have thought they'd be, even though the sales were WAY better than they have been in past years. I actually did by half of my gifts right away and got a couple of small things for myself. I also got a lot of exercise, walking for most of the afternoon.

And I got a puppy fix! I got to play with and pet a little Australian Shepherd puppy for a little while. *grin* I can't wait until I have space and a backyard and can have a dog again.

I also packed my parent's old record collection into the back of my car. They don't want it anymore, so I'm going to inspect 'em, write 'em down and ebay 'em one-by-one. (I might keep a couple of them.) I'm curious to see what will sell and what won't.
