And Then There Were Three

Mysty is in the house!

No, really, she is. We finished the last dregs of my apartment this evening and since we're starting the move on Jeff's apartment tomorrow, it was time to bring the kitty on over to the house and get her away from the the soon-to-be-chaotic-moving epicenter.

We brought over all her stuff: food, toys, brushes, litter box, favorite quilt. We're starting with one room only - everything is here in our bedroom and we've been just talking and tapping away at our computers. She was fine with the drive on over, but she hid under the bed right away when she got here. We expected that however and just set about tapping on our laptops and talking and she came out rather quickly. She's made several inspection rounds about the room and in the closet and she's hopped up on the bed already, so she'll be okay. She does go and hide under the bed after each round, but she should be fine in a few days.

We'll introduce her to the rest of the house slowly. It's about 4 times bigger than the apartment she's lived all her life in, so we don't want to overwhelm her (or find her hiding under the washing machine.) One step at a time.
