The Friday Five:
- Do you remember your first best friend? Who was it?
Remember?! Valerie and I are still friends after more than 22 years!
- Are you still in touch with this person?
Hell yeah. She took pictures at my wedding a couple of months ago. I'll
call her this weekend and I'll probably see her again in a couple of
weeks to do some crafty stuff. (Polymer clay beads and the like.)
- Do you have a current close friend?
Well, besides Valerie, there's my husband Jeff. :-) :-) I also have a few
very close friends online. And then there's Kelly who I've been friends
with for just about as long as Valerie.
- How did you become friends with this person?
With Valerie? I think I first met her in gym class in 7th grade. We had to
start each class sitting on the floor of the gym in rows and my spot was
always right behind her. We talked about our pets and mutual love of
animals.
- Is there a friend from your past that you wish you were still in
contact with? Why?
There are some people I have hazy recollections of that I'm curious to know
what kind of people they turned out to be. There was this girl in junior
high named Teresa. I wonder about her. The few I knew in high school I can
always find out about at five and ten year intervals, so I don't often
think about that. I moved too often as a kid to really have made any close
friends until I met Valerie, so there's not a lot of "I wish I still knew
them" for me.
Beat...

I'm just pooped. Bushed. Beat. Exhausted. It's been a crazy busy week.
Luckily for *me* it's the weekend and I can settle down to some serious
studying for my exam on Monday, mow the yard and unpack a few boxes. Whee.
Unfortunately for Jeff, it's the weekend and he's going to be busy helping
out a bunch of Boy Scouts. At least, he will until Sunday. We both decided
to rest and go see a movie - "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" and
just generally have a relaxing day. Here's some cool things in the news:
