Weather Changes

It's going to get wetter! (Or drier if you live in the interior of the U.S.) I've already noticed the DRAMATIC weather pattern changes here in Texas, especially during our summers.

Oof.

The Fall semester has officially begun here at our university. No, classes don't start until Wednesday, and no, the faculty convocation speech isn't until tomorrow. But today was Parking Hell, and in my book that officially begins the semester.

It was also my first day of the fitness program I've signed up for, so now I'm sitting here just a wee bit pooped. Three days a week I'll go in during the noon hour for stretching and weights (toning and strength training) and two days a week I'll go in just after work for an aerobics class.

I'm just so excited and MOTIVATED. I have some very specific goals. I want my final weight to be somewhere from 123-127, but that may not necessarily translate into losing 25 pounds. See, I also want to build up my muscle (for strength and increased metabolism) and get my body fat percentage down too. (From 38 to 25.) I should lose a few inches in certain areas too. And overall I'm aiming for being able to climb a certain set of stairs without being winded and more energy. I respond quite rapidly to exercise, so this should be great.

On Wednesday I go back to classes. I'm taking an osteology course for anthropology. This is something I've wanted to take for YEARS now, so I'm excited about that too. I'll also be taking Spanish III this semester, which I'm a little nervous about. (As it gets harder...)
