Another one via WIRED: What's My Temp? Put on the Shades

"A Yale researcher aims to provide athletes with sunglasses containing a sensor that constantly reads body temperature to prevent heat stroke and dehydration. It could also help track a woman's ovulation cycle to aid in fertility."

Eeeeenteresting.

Power Tennis
26 August 2003, 12:51 PM

Found an interesting article in WIRED today about how racket technology has changed the face of tennis. As a former USTA tennis player and fan myself, I'm not sure what I think about this.

True, the way the game is played as certainly changed. No more high moonshots and volleys or rushes to the net. Everything is played at the baseline. But maybe it's only the men's games that have suffered from the "boring" aspect of too much power. Certainly the women's matches are still exciting to watch, because of the sheer power displayed. I've loved the every twist and turn of the evolution of women's tennis.
