Regional Dialectisms

Snagged this one from Bride of the First House. The differences should be interesting, since she's in western Canada and I'm in Texas:

1. A body of water, smaller than a river, contained within relatively narrow banks?
A creek, even if there's no water, and only the bed is visible.

2. What is the thing you push around the grocery store?
A cart.

3. A metal container to carry a meal in?
Lunch kit.

4. The thing that you cook bacon and eggs in?
Frying pan, or just pan, though most people around here actually say skillet.

5. The piece of furniture that seats three people?
Sofa. Though I think most folks around here say "couch".

6. The device on the outside of the house that carries rain off the roof?
Gutter.

7. The covered area outside a house where people sit in the evening?
Porch.

8. Carbonated, sweetened, non-alcoholic beverages?
A coke. (Little "c", and not capital "C".) Rarely soda, and never pop. (Waitresses and waiters will then ask "what kind" and you specify a brand of soda, Dr. Pepper or Pepsi, etc.)

9. A flat, round breakfast food served with syrup?
Pancakes.

10. A long sandwich designed to be a whole meal in itself?
A sandwhich. Everything is a sandwhich if it's a sandwhich of some sort.

11. The piece of clothing worn by men at the beach?
Shorts.

12. Shoes worn for sports?
Sneakers.

13. Putting a room in order?
Straightening up or tidying up.

14. A flying insect that glows in the dark?
Fireflies.

15. The little insect that curls up into a ball?
Doodle bug.

16. The children's playground equipment where one kid sits on one side and goes up while the other sits on the other side and goes down?
See-saw.

17. How do you eat your pizza?
Quickly. :-) Okay, everything except the crust, starting with the pointy end.

18. What's it called when private citizens put up signs and sell their used stuff?
Garage sale and Yard sale are used interchangeably around here, even if you have neither a garage nor a yard.

19. What's the evening meal?
Dinner, though some people around here also say "supper".

20. An area of trees, greater than an acre?
A stand.

21. What you call an object with polyester fibre-fill on the inside and furry/fuzzy fabric on the outside, usually formed in the image of an animal?
A stuffed animal.

22. a) What do you call "one dollar" in your currency?
A buck.

22. b) What do you call "one thousand dollars" in your currency?
A grand, or one "K".

23. What material is a 320mL soft drink container made of?
Aluminum.

24. What do you call that liquid stuff you put in your car to make it run?
Gas.

25. What do you call the thing they give you to wipe your mouth with at restaurants (whether it's paper or linen)?
A napkin.

My addition:

26. What do you call the vehicle that tows your car away from an illegal parking spot or accident etc.?
Wreckers. Though some people will say "tow-truck" a lot of people in Houston call 'em wreckers.
